We are pleased to announce that Extracellular and Roslin Technologies will be co-presenting a poster focused on process innovations at the NAPIC Inaugural Conference 2025.

Our team have developed a scalable, robust production platform for cell cultivated products that leverages continuous perfusion and repeated fed-batch processes. We’re showcasing two complementary approaches across this collaboration:

  • Continuous perfusion workflow: Achieved sustained exponential growth, extended harvest windows, and real time process control, with continued biomass collection and maximised cell yield. A 30-day perfusion regimen kept cells in exponential growth with continuous perfusion, lengthening harvest windows while minimising nutrient loss and metabolite build-up.
  • Repeated fed-batch process: Delivered stable cell expansion, maintained cell pluripotency, with uniform product quality across multiple cycles, supported by continued cell recovery and performance. In this study, we present a continuous perfusion-based strategy and a study evaluating phenotypic and nutritional characteristics over 5-7 repeated multiple production cycles.

We have successfully developed a scalable, economical, and sustainable manufacturing blueprint for cell cultivated products, delivering reliable yields, lower costs, and clear techno-economic advantages for producers ready to accelerate market adoption.

Join us at NAPIC as we share the science driving the future of food biomanufacturing!
