Extracellular's Partnership with Merck Life Science

At the MEVO Conference in Barcelona in 2024, we shared highlights from our ongoing collaboration with Merck, demonstrating how strategic partnerships can accelerate innovation in cell-cultivated products manufacturing.

Nearly a year ago, we successfully scaled Merck’s serum-free media formulation to 200L using a fed-batch process at our facilities. This milestone resulted in the production of kilograms of cultivated meat and showcased both the strength of Merck’s high-performance media and Extracellular’s capabilities at pilot scale.
